Amsterdam

The Venice of the North

Little Amsterdam, entertainment capital of Holland, renowned for its coffee shops and lively nightlife, is a city full of pleasant surprises for young and old – nicknamed the Venice of the North Amsterdam is constructed on 90 small islands and connected by more than 500 bridges and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

If you are one of the few who have not yet experienced the beauty of Amsterdam, allow yourself some free time to discover its enchanted treasures. Upon arrival into the city, you can immediately capture the plethora of bicycles and sense the air of freedom, making it a pleasant destination to visit both in winter and in summer.

By renting a central apartment, you can travel with the whole family, taking advantage of the close proximity of places of interest, such as Dam Square, with its small restaurants, shops and artists, the Neuwe Kerk, the Imperial Palace and, of course, the Van Gogh Museum.
And if you can’t resist the temptation to taste the nightlife, a tour of the red light district is a must – notwithstanding its seedy reputation, the area remains very discreet and peaceful and the neighbourhood also encompasses picturesque clubs along the canals. You could also choose a Halldis apartment in the Leidseplein district, which hosts many restaurants and charming bars and is a destination not to be missed for every respectable tourist.
