Charitable Epiphany Motorbike Day

All the Italian bikers are going to meet on the Day of the Epiphany in Milan, in Piazza Duomo, at 8.30 a.m. for the traditional Charitable Epiphany Day, a Motorbike parade which has come to its 43rd edition. The procession is headed by the Befana, the witch who, in the Italian tradition, brings toys and candy to good children on the Day of the Epiphany, and who will in fact be handing out food and gifts to children and poor people during the parade. The event, organized for the first time in 1967 by the Moto Club Ticinese, always starts with the bikers receiving the blessing of the bishop of Milan and, after the Mayor’s speech, covers two different routes, both reaching various retirement homes and aid institutes.
