Raid Pavia Venice
The raid Pavia - Venice is the longest and oldest motor-boating competition in the whole world. It is organised by the Associazione Motonautica Pavia and it has reached its 68th edition. The raid will take place on Sunday March 29th, starting in Pavia along the Ticino River and continuing along the Po River towards Cremona and finishing at the Marina di Brondolo Boat Club in Chioggia (near Venice), on a route of 384 Km. Both experts and people just fond of this sport can participate, with catamarans, one-keel boats, racer and jet skies and water skies as well. An event enjoyable for both the racers and the people attending the event ashore.
International Book Fair
The most important event of the Italian publishing market, the International Book Fair, will take place in Turin at the Lingotto Fiere from May 12th to May 16th. A five day event characterized by meetings and presentations with important artists, writers and personalities of Italian and International cultural panorama. A happening rich in events and a place where to discover all the news of the publishing sector and all the most famous or specialistic books published all over the world.
John Paul II’s Beatification
The celebration of John Paul II’s Beatification, will start on April 30th with the wake beginning at 9 p.m. and will proceed the whole day of Sunday May 1st, in Saint Peter’s Square in Rome, with the official begin of the event at 10 a.m. Once the beatification ceremony is finished, the mortal remains of the new Blessed will be displayed in Saint Peter’s Basilica, in front of the Confession Altar, for the veneration of the congregation. This event will gather in Rome a crowd of believers and all the people devoted to John Paul II.
