This bright and welcoming 110 sq.mt apartment has been recently restored (December 2008) with high quality finishes such as parquet flooring in every room, built-in kitchen units, double ceiling with spot lights, double glazed insulating windows, and independent heating.
The foyer of the apartment leads into a spacious living room with a double sofa bed, a large TV corner with a flat screen TV, stereo and a DVD player, and a table for 6 people which can be lengthened to seat up to 10 guests. A large tailor made and fully equipped kitchen is separated from the other rooms by two hideaway sliding doors: a practical solution to open or divide the spaces depending on the exigencies.
On the left of a long corridor, at the end of which is a main bathroom with a stall shower, is the sleeping area. The first bedroom is furnished with a spacious closet, a single bed and a writing desk; the second bedroom can be used as a study, with a desk ideal to work on with the PC and a comfortable pouf to relax or read (the pouf converts into a single bed). The third bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed and a large closet with a mirror brightening up and enlarging the room, and is complete with an en-suite bathroom fitted with bathtub.
The apartment comes complete with large windows in every room which, together with two balconies accessible from the living room and the master bedroom, make the apartment very sunny and welcoming.
Area
Via Santa Croce is located in the Bologna city center, a few steps from the famous via San Felice (where the first tower of Bologna was built in order to keep a lookout for enemies coming from Modena), within a 10 minute walking distance from Piazza Maggiore, and a few steps away from via Saragozza.
In the vicinity of the apartment is a great variety of shops, pharmacies and supermarkets and Via Pratello offers plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants. In Via Lame and in Via Marconi there are two cinemas, while in Porta Saragozza the cinema Chaplin screens movies in their original version on Mondays.
Via Santa Croce is a quiet residential street and the area where the building is located is a limited traffic zone.
Public transport
A bus leading to the city center, to the station and to the airport stops in via San Felice.
