Area
From Piazzale Donatello, where the Cimitero Evangelico (Evangelic Cemetery) is located, called “Cimitero degli Inglesi” (Cemetery of English people) because of the large number of Englishmen in the area, there is a series of streets of the Florence ring road dating back to 1800’s, when Florence was the capital of the Italian Reign. Then, passing Borgo Pinti, it is possible to reach the historical center of the city. In this street there are a lot of quiet and immense gardens nestled among the antique walls of building dating back to 1400’s, at a few steps from the Duomo and Santa Croce.
The area is rich in shops and famous boutiques, and in a bus stop you can reach the most representative Renaissance square of the city: S. Marco.
Public transport
From S.M.N. railway station it is possible to get to the apartment with the bus lines 1, 7 and 17.
Parking
The area is perfect also for those travelling by car, since there is the possibility to park in Viale Matteotti or in Viale Gramsci without having to enter the ZTL (limited traffic zone) with limited access from 7,30 a.m. to 7,30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
