Description
The house, with two independent entrance doors, is spread on three floors: the ground floor opens up onto a foyer leading to a living area with a double sofa bed, and a study area with two armchairs. A French window in the living room opens out onto a courtyard, while adjacent to the room is the comfortable bathroom, complete with shower, and a boiler room with washing machine.
The first floor has the entire sleeping area, with a double bedroom with twin beds, a double bedroom with a double bed and a large bathroom with bathtub.
The main living area is on the second floor, complete with a living room with two couches facing a charming fireplace, a bathroom, a dining area with a table dating back to the 17th Century, and a fully equipped open plan kitchen with a marble counter top which also acts as a breakfast bar.
Area
Monte Marcello is an old town surrounded by ancient walls. Charming alleys and sheltered walkways between the houses characterise the town, which crowns over both the Ligurian Riviera and the Tyrrhenian Sea of Tuscany: westwards to Porto Venere and Cinque Terre, eastwards, towards Versilia to Livorno, and northwards with the gorgeous framework of the Alps with their shining white tips.
Surrounding the town is a wildlife park with conifers and Mediterranean scrub sloping towards the sea, whilst on the Magra River is the border line between the regions of Liguria and Tuscany.
Within 100 km are important cities of art such as Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Genoa, with the biggest historical center of Europe.
In the vicinity are many charming small villages and towns, such as the ones in the Cinque Terre, offering many important historical monuments.
Public transport
A bus line connects Monte Marcello with Sarzana.
Parking
Free parking at about 50 metres.
