The village of Boccadasse is framed by a narrow bay between an antique fortress and a small beach where fishers ground their boats. Quoted by singers, writers and poets, it is one of the most famous places in Genoa.

At a few steps from the village begins Corso Italia, a 3 km promenade on the seafront. Close to the village there are also swimming pools and tennis courts.
