Designer one bedroom apartment, modern and sleek and with a breathtaking lake view, newly furnished in 2007 and located in a small private complex of 12 units built in 2006, surrounded by splendidly luscious nature, with a fantastic panoramic position, with views southwards towards Verbania and Stresa, and westwards towards the snowy top of Mount Rosa.

Description
This lovely 58sq.mt apartment was furnished by Simone Micheli, a famous Italian interior designer, who used traditional materials to create a modern and elegant ambiance.
The apartment has its own separate entrance, which opens directly into a marvellously bright living room with a double sofa bed, a dining corner with a table for 6, large windows boasting a lovely view of the lake and its surrounding hills, and a French window opening out onto a huge furnished terrace, with two sunbeds, a low table, armchairs and sofa to enjoy its Southwest view. The semi-separate kitchen is fully equipped with all necessities a dishwasher and microwave oven, and conveniently positioned in an open niche.
The sleeping area offers a double bedroom with a double bed placed right by a large window from which one can dreamily enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake and have direct access to the terrace. The bathroom, modern in its designer fixtures, has a stall shower.
The apartment comes complete with own private parking.
A weekly cleaning with change of linens is automatic for rentals over 1 week, at an additional cost of Euro 50.

The apartment is located in a quaint town called Brezzo di Bedero (Luino), on Lake Maggiore. Lake Maggiore is an attraction for tourists who are enticed by its climate, guaranteeing extended holidays and lovely landscapes. Whether you are looking for a relaxing weekend, cultural attractions or sport activities, our lake offers it all. History-packed locations such as the Borromeo Islands, with their splendid Italian style gardens, Angera Castle, dating back to the XIIth century, the hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, built in the XXII century, splendid villas, and the gardens of Villa Taranto in Verbania are at short distance.
At the Luino harbor you can catch a boat and visit the lovely towns around Lake Maggiore. You can also reach the Borromeo Islands and Stresa or Locarno in Switzerland. There are several open air festivals during the summertime. Every Wednesday in Luino the biggest street market in Italy takes place and it is great fun for visitors. Dine on great Italian food in the restaurants of Luino - and within walking distance in our local village. We'll be happy to provide more information on request.
Sport lovers will not get bored in Sopra il Lago! You can practice all water activities during the summer (swimming, windsurfing, kite surfing) and the winter (diving, sailing, fishing). At walking distance from Sopra il Lago there are two new tennis courts where you can play or take tennis lessons. The local mountains are great for walking excursions (Monte Lema, Monte Forcora, Monteviasco, Val Veddasca). Most of our mountains have special tracks for mountain bikes.
In the nearby Swiss Tessin region, there are beautiful places to spend a day out with the children (Monte Tamaro with its cable car and several adventure parks). Valverzasca has fantastic bathing spots in the fresh water of its river. In winter, skiers can enjoy the small ski-lift at Alpe Forcora only 30 minutes away, or travel to the well-known Swiss ski resorts of San Bernardino, Airolo and Andermatt in just over an hour. Golf lovers will find 6 prestigious courses within a range of 40 km.
There are several open air markets in the villages along the lake. The most famous one is the market of Luino that dates back to 1541. The market hosts now about 356 stalls, making it the biggest weekly market in Europe. Every Wednesday, all year round, any kind of stalls occupy the streets and main squares free of traffic and full of a colourful and animated crowd.
Fashion addicts will enjoy a daily trip by train to Milano, but if you cannot afford the Via Montenapoleone's prices, you can have a look at Foxtown, in Mendrisio, an outlet centre, where the most famous international brands offer their products at factory prices directly to the customer, with a discount from 30% to 70%.

Public transport
Milan Malpensa Airport is the nearest airport, about 75 minutes away. You can book your taxi ride for about 80-90 Euros.
There is a public bus service from the centre of the village to Luino (timetable and information on tickets and prices available in the apartment).
An inexpensive train service from Luino railway station takes you to Milan in about 90 minutes.
Public boat service from the harbour in Luino to Cannero/Cannobio/Stresa/Locarno, etc.

As public transportation is limited around here clients are advised to come by car in order to be free to enjoy visiting the area and all its neighbouring towns.
