This spacious 50sq.mt apartment has been charmingly furnished in true Parisian style, and is positioned in the inner part of the building, allowing for a silent and relaxing environment. The entrance opens onto a foyer which leads to all the rooms of the house. To the immediate right is the kitchen, fully equipped with all necessities including dishwasher and microwave oven, and overlooking into the living room over its breakfast bar. The spacious living room is divided into a sitting area, with a comfortable sofa bed (140x180 – ideal for either one adult or two children), two ample armchairs and a TV corner, and a dining area, with a large solid wood dining table for 6.
The sleeping area offers a double bedroom with a double bed (160x200 cm), and a bathroom fitted with a stall shower.
Both its location and its characteristics make this apartment ideal for either a couple with small children or 3 adults.
Area
The apartment is situated in the 6th arrondissement in the historical district of Saint Germain des Pres with its elegant, trendy streets known for the many stylish fashion shops, antique stores, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants, pubs and cinemas.
The main streets of this neighbourhood are boulevard St Germain, which runs parallel to the River Seine, and rue de Rennes, which goes from Place de St Germain des Prés to Tour Montparnasse.
St Germain is known world wide for having been the chosen lieu of an entire literary class, and numerous neighbourhood places still today maintain the aura if yonder years: the super packed Café de Flore (facing the church of St Germain des Prés) is probably the most famous of these cafés.
The narrow streets and alleys around Place St Germain des Prés are always vibrant and lively all day long, and at night time crowded with Jazz lovers attracted by all the local bars offering live music.
For shopaholics the close by rue du Four is a must see, as is the elegant and famous Bon Marché, historically the first Parisian department store, divided into two buildings: one for high end clothes and accessories, the other for gourmet food from all over the world.
Public transport
The area is well served by public transport:
Closest Metro stops are "Saint-Sulpice" (line 4) and "Sèvres-Babylone" (lines 10 and 12).
Plenty of bus lines stop close by, among which n.39, 70, 89, 92.
Within a 10 minute walk is one of the major Paris railway stations: Gare Montparnasse.
