Description
The front door to this lovely 60m2 apartment opens directly into a dining room with large built in cupboards, shelves, and a dining table for 4 persons. A floor to ceiling window steals ones’ attention, whilst an opening on one side encases the built-in kitchen, fully equipped with all necessities including gas burners, a dishwasher, a microwave oven and a regular oven, and complete with a foldable side board and breakfast bar with bar stools for light snacks or informal meals. Following the dining area is the charming living room, where a modern double sofa bed (150cm wide) stands facing a lovely fireplace, and where a 19th century armchair and two modern chairs complete the sitting area. The wall which flaunts the fireplace also boasts two gorgeous floor to ceiling wooden bookcases, whilst the antique parquet flooring shows its original centerpiece design dating back to the 17th century, adding charm and ambience to the entire room.
Further along is the double bedroom, generous in its size and comfortable in its furnishings, with a double bed (160cm wide) with storage space, a large closet with sliding doors, and a workspace with desk and bookshelves by the window. The bathroom, by the dining room, is fitted with bathtub with overhead shower, wash basin, bidet and toilet.
Area
The apartment is located in the 11th arrondissement, a quite large neighbourhood which goes from the Bastille to the historical Cemetery of Pere Lachaise, including also Place de la Republique. This district has been nourished with new life in the recent decades, and it is the seat of various design and graphic studios, making it one of the most promising areas regarding artistic production. One of its most important streets is Rue Charonne, adjacent to the apartment, where a lot of the most trendy nightspots of Paris are located. Meeting the requirements of its inhabitants, the Oberkampf area often offers high-quality rock and jazz concerts and gourmet restaurants with reasonable prices, since they are not part of the traditional tourist itineraries: the attractions of this neighbourhood ae notorious just to real Parisiens or to those who have the luck to spend part of their life in the district.
