Description
This 50 sq.mt apartment, which maximises space to the full in order to offer a comfortable environment even for stays of longer periods, opens up onto a small foyer leading to a bright day area. The wall on the right is completely fitted with a fully equipped open plan kitchen, next to which is a small study corner with a desk and some shelves, enlightened by one of the two windows overlooking Via Bligny. In front of the kitchen, right between this two windows, is a wooden table for 2 people; next to which is a wooden cabinet with a TV whilst behind it a comfortable couch. The furniture creates a cosy atmosphere thanks to the warm colours of the walls, of the flooring and of the pieces of furniture framing the entire room.
The sleeping area is separated by the day area by a wooden divider, placed next to the couch, and includes a double bed and a built-in closet. The bathroom, located on the left of the entrance, is blue-coloured with mosaics on the flooring and is fitted with stall shower.
Area
The apartment is located in Via Bligny, in the Palazzo Cotti di Brusasco, just at 50 meters from the beginning of the well-known Via Garibaldi, a pedestrian street filled with shops and historic points of civic interest such as the splendid building which houses City Hall. A few steps away is Piazza Statuto, in the centre of which is the monument commemorating the completion of Frejus built in 1879. Shortly beyond, one can sample the fine (and expensive) fish at Porta Rossa and the celebrated pizza of Gennaro Esposito. A few meters away, leading from Piazza Statuto by Corso San Martino one reaches the Porta Susa railroad station and the newly-constructed subway station joining the centre of Turin to Rivoli and Collegno on the first outer ring. Walking the full length of Via Garibaldi one reaches the heart of Turin, the splendid area of Piazza Castello: in the centre, Palazzo Madama, on the sides The Royal Palace, the Prefecture, the Royal Armory, the Regio Theater and the porticos with their shops (among which the historic cafes Baratti and Mulassano). The main streets of the city lead from here: Via Po, Via Roma and Via Garibaldi. From Via Po, profiting from the famous porticos which enable one to cross the centre under cover, one can admire the marvel of Piazza Vittorio: 360 metres long and 111 wide it was designed in 1825 by the architect Giuseppe Frizzi. The ideal finish to Via Po, the piazza has porticos on three sides and since a few years – thanks to the pedestrianization of the adjacent Via Po - has seen the opening of cafes and wine bars ( like Caffe Elena). A few steps further and one finds the Mole, the Po and the Murazzi for pleasant evenings in Turin’s famous night-spots.
Parking
The apartment is located in a pay parking area.
