Description
This 60 sq.mt opens up directly onto the living area, comprising the relax area and the kitchen. The room is very bright: the main colour of this area is white and the sunlight passes through the dormer windows enlightening every corner of the room. On the right is the relax area, with a comfortable and retro beige couch and armchairs, contrasting with the surrounding white and creating a splendid outlook. Design pieces of furniture, located on the shelves all over the mansard to exploit the space under the lowest part of the mansard, frame this particular area. On the left is located the kitchen: a counter represents a prefect work surface and dining area for quick lunches. There is also a tip-up table located on the part of the counter facing the living area, so that it can be closed in order to use the remaining space.
Next to the kitchen is a small corridor leading to the sleeping area: on the left is a bathroom with a built-in stall shower and, at the end, a comfortable double bedroom, where the double bed and small objects are the only pieces of furniture available, respecting the minimal style of the whole apartment.
Area
The apartment is located in Via dei Mercanti, a few steps from the well-known Via Garibaldi, a pedestrian street rich in shops and historic points of interest such as the splendid building of the City Hall. A few steps away is Piazza Statuto, in the centre of which is the monument commemorating the completion of Frejus, built in 1879.
A few meters away is Porta Susa railroad station and the newly-constructed subway station joining the centre of Turin to Rivoli and Collegno.
At the end of Via Garibaldi is the splendid area of Piazza Castello, considered the heart of Turin: in the centre Palazzo Madama, on the sides The Royal Palace, the Prefecture, the Royal Armoury, the Regio Theater and the porticos with their shops (among which the historic cafés Baratti and Mulassano). The main streets of the city lead from here: Via Po, Via Roma and Via Garibaldi. From Via Po, profiting from the famous porticos which enable to cross the centre under cover, one can admire the marvel of Piazza Vittorio: designed in 1825 by the architect Giuseppe Frizzi.
A few steps further one finds the Mole, symbol of Turin, the Po and the Murazzi, for pleasant evenings in Turin’s famous nightspots.
