Entering, the hallway gives access to the living room furnished with a large sofa with a peninsula that can be converted into a comfortable double bed, a TV corner with a characteristic decorative framed fireplace, and a round table with 4 chairs. To the left is the open floor plan kitchen, complete with small refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, induction burners, kettle, toaster, and washing machine. The bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds that can be perfectly joined to become a double bed, and a wardrobe with 4 doors. The bathroom has a window and is equipped with a shower stall, a heated towel rack, and a toilet. The apartment overlooks Via Pozzo del Mare and the streets surrounding Piazza Unità d‘Italia, where the Cavana district begins, the beating heart of Trieste’s nightlife full of restaurants, clubs and bars.

Piazza Unità d’Italia is Europe’s largest seaside square: here there are many large multinational companies that were born in Trieste, shopping streets, historic cafes, restaurants, traditional buffets, as well as entertaining nightlife.
The square, with its most famous buildings including the Municipality, the Government building, and Palazzo delle Generali, is an ideal starting point to reach the Cathedral and the San Giusto Castle within 10 minutes on foot (650 m, uphill) on the summit of the homonymous hill; or to go towards the sea for a walk on the Molo Audace, where you can watch the sunset over the Gulf of Trieste.
With your back to the sea, to the right of the square is the Cavana district, the heart of the Old Town, with its narrow streets full of lively shops that are buzzing at every hour from cafes, bars, and restaurants. Here you can visit 3 of the most famous museums: Museo Revoltella with collections of modern art, the Museum of Istrian, Fiumana, and Dalmata Civilization, and the Museum of Oriental Art. To the left of the square instead is Borgo Teresiano, with shopping streets, Piazza della Borsa, Teatro Lirico Verdi, and the Grand Canal of Trieste, overlooked by numerous historic cafes and bars.
The Miramare Castle is located 8 km from the city: it can be reached by car or by bus lines 6 and 36 that leave from the Central station.
For a coffee, the historic Caffè degli Specchi with its tables right on Piazza Unità d’Italia, or Caffè Tommaseo.
For an aperitif or a “cicchetto” the small streets of Cavana or the Grand Canal, from where you can enjoy a view of the sea and the sunset.
For dinner, Eataly with its windows overlooking the sea, or the restaurants with traditional dishes from the Trieste tradition in the Cavana district.
