From the living room, a staircase leads to the private terrace, one of the apartment’s highlights: partly covered with a wood-and-glass structure and partly open-air, furnished with an outdoor table, chairs and a hammock, perfect for relaxing.

On the main level you’ll also find a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, suitable for longer stays. From the kitchen, a hallway leads to the sleeping area, which includes:

Sites touristiques

The apartment is located in the Oltrarno district in Florence’s historic city, at just 30 m from a convenient supermarket. The name “Oltrarno” literally means “beyond the Arno” and this district which stretches along the south bank of the river represents a different facet of Florence to that which is found near the Duomo. The Oltrarno perhaps displays the true character of Florence and in general is slightly quieter, greener and more relaxed than the other districts of Florence. Indeed many tourists tend to choose the Oltrarno for this reason. Traditionally an artisans’ quarter, the Oltrarno still boasts today many lovely antique shops and artisans’ studios (particularly furniture and leather-workers) and Via Maggio remains the focus of Florence’s thriving antiques trade.
Over time the Oltrarno became a rather chic area and many aristocrats chose this neighbourhood to build their villas and palaces, the largest of these being the Pitti Palace, which became the home of the various Grand Dukes. Today this sumptuous palace houses several important museums which rank amongst the best in Florence. Other major sights the Oltrarno has to offer are the Cappella Brancacci with the fabulous frescoes of Masaccio, Piazzale Michelangelo with its breath-taking views over Florence, the magnificent church of San Miniato, (one of the highest points in the city of Florence and also one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture within Tuscany) together with the most famous and oldest bridge in Florence, Ponte Vecchio, home to a glittering array of jewellery shops and goldsmiths.
Extending up the hill from the Pitti Palace are the formal Boboli Gardens, an outdoor museum of garden sculpture that includes Roman antiquities as well as 16th and 17th century works. The Oltrarno is famous for its wine bars such as Olio & Convivium, authentic trattorias serving typical Tuscan cuisine, including Il Santo Bevitore, I 4 Leoni and Il Magazzino, not to mention the wonderful fresh produce market held every morning in Piazza Santo Spirito. For those choosing an apartment in this area the Oltrarno quarter also offers a choice of grocery stores, patisserie, bakeries, gift shops and much more.

Parking

Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact a private garage. Thanks to the private garage you will obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access for the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

The public bus service in Florence is provided by "Ataf".
The nearest bus stop to the house is on via Romana about 5 minutes walking distance, and the bus n° is 11.

GENERAL RULES OF THE HOUSE

- Please do not exceed the maximum number of guests allowed under any circumstances, even if they do not stay overnight, without prior permission
- All guests must abide by a good neighbor policy and not engage in the illegal activities
- Respect neighbors and reduce noise between h. 22:00 and h. 8:00.
- Party planning is not allowed.
- The tenant must be at least 18 years of age. Guests under the minimum age must be accompanied by a parent.
- Pets not allowed unless otherwise specified in the reservation
- Photography or commercial filming is not permitted on the property
- The guest is responsible for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges on the credit card provided should any damage occur during the stay. If there is any damage or problem, please contact us immediately so we can take care of it.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. It was walkable to the main attractions, had a great wine bar a couple of doors away, a supermarket across the road and the view from the roof top garden was spectacular. The 3 flights of stairs was manageable.

Lovely apartment in Florence. We found the rooftop outdoor terrace useful. Close to Pritti Palace & Boboli gardens. Approx 25 mins walk Into the centre. Clean and functional and cool during a warm spell. Be mindful there are a fair few stairs to climb up to the apartment.

Great space, good location. Has all the amenities for long or short stay. Great terrace and sun room. Good local area in Florence. Bus Stop bar is a great local venue. 10 mins walk to Ponte Vecchio Bridge. 25mins to SMN main train station. Also has close bus stops for #37 bus to station or #11 to central Florence.

If you want to stay in a great part of Florence, with many restaurant and bar choices, but no crowds of tourists, on a quiet street, this is a great place to consider. It is a few blocks to the Pitti Palace. The area is full of local artisans and workshops. The locals eat at the nearby restaurants with very few tourists. The apartment is on the 3rd floor without an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. There is a grocery store right across the street. The company is very responsive, kind, and worked very hard to accommodate our few requests. Excellent customer service. The apartment has a lovely patio with an enclosed in area as well. Great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy a glass of wine or a meal. The patio/terrace door automatically locks behind you so please REMEMBER to keep the door key on your person when you go out onto the patio. Very clean apartment, comfortable with lots of seating and tables. Lots of hot water and has 2 bathrooms. Full kitchen that has all of the amenities you need to cook. I highly recommend this location.
