This 90sqm apartment is located on the third floor with an elevator and consists of a living room with balcony, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. Via Raffaele Balestra is located in Monteverde Nuovo neighbourhood, western part of the city.
Piazza San Giovanni di Dio is just a few steps away from the apartment and where the tram line 8 stops; it takes you to Piazza Venezia crossing the Tiber river and reaching the heart of Rome, a few steps from the Campidoglio.
It is rich in history: you can easily reach Villa Maraini Santucci, an Art Nouveau building of the early nineteenth century located on Via Bernardino Ramazzini, or Villa Cirino on Via Ugo Bassi, baroque style villa of the twentieth century (1920). There are also many churches in the area: San Pancrazio (Piazza San Pancrazio), Chapel of Our Lady of Consolation (Piazza Ottavilla), Church of St. Mary Mother of Providence (Via Donna Olimpia). The neighbourhood is also rich in parks: Park of Villa Doria Pamphili (XVII century villa), Casino del Bel Respiro (XVII century building), the Arc of the Four Winds (nineteenth century), Villa Baldini (XVIII century villa) and Villa Flora (villa of the nineteenth century).
Just a 30-minute walk and there is the wonderful Passeggiata del Gianicolo, The Walk, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the historical center of Rome. Since 1904, at 12 am every day three soldiers load a howitzer salutes and fired a shot. The tradition of the cannon dates back to Pius IX, who in order to avoid confusing time, instituted this service in 1846.
This neighbourhood is residential and has also several office buildings, but it is also rich in shops where you can do shopping for the house and basic essential services that could be needed for every day use. In the evening, Monteverde Nuovo is a relaxed and pleasant place where the local bars, restaurants and clubs warmly welcome guests like students, professionals, workers and tourists.
The San Camillo Forlanini Hospital is 1 km (15-minute walk) from Via Raffaele Balestra.

To the right there is another hallway where you will find the first bedroom furnished with two single beds, two bedside tables and a wardrobe; the second bedroom is furnished with a double bed (160cm x 200cm), two bedside tables, a wardrobe and a desk with a television on it.
The kitchen has a refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, stove, oven, cutlery and crockery for six people.
If one wishes to have breakfast in the kitchen there is a comfortable table with chairs.
The bathroom has a toilet and a bathtub with a hand shower.
The house offers its guests a large storage room.
The apartment is equipped with an air conditioning system.

Diese Wohnung befindet sich in einem Mietshaus in einem belebten Stadtteil Roms und eignet sich sehr gut als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Altstadt oder zum Vatikan. Die Tram #8 hält in der Nähe (Piazza San Giovanni di Dio) und bringt einen in 30 min zum Piazza Venezia. Zum Vatikan nimmt man am besten einen Bus. In der Nähe befinden sich gute Pizzerien, wie zum Beispiel "Pizza e Arrosticini" oder auch Pizza auf die Hand bei "Alice", und in der gleichen Straße findet man einen kleinen Laden für den täglichen Bedarf.
Die Wohnung selber ist sauber und ausreichend ausgestattet. Die Klimaanlage lief leider nicht (Batterien?). Die Nachbarschaft ist ruhig und sehr nett. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden.

It is a very clean apartment. The neighborhood is calm and friendly. There are lots of cheap and various mini and super markets. You can take the bus or train to the center of Rome. Very easy.
