Description
Villa Cedri is a typical Tuscan farmhouse situated within a wine estate, amongst gentle hills in a panoramic position, 2 km away from Montecatini Val di Cecina and near Volterra. Expertly restored, the property is surrounded by a large garden with lawn, lounge area, pergola with dining table for 10 people and built-in barbecue. Within the garden there is also a beautiful private swimming pool (6 x 12 m, 1.40 m depth), open from April to October, and equipped with sunbeds, external shower and relax area with sofas. Moreover, at guests' disposal, a spacious terrace with chairs and a small table, ideal for sipping a glass of wine while admiring the surrounding landscape.

Villa Cedri is located at 2 km away from Montecatini Val di Cecina, a charming medieval village perched on a hill with stunning views over the Tuscan countryside between Volterra and the Tyrrhenian coast. In Montecatini Val di Cecina you can find some shops, restaurants, bank, and other essential services. Only 14 km km from the villa is Volterra, a famous Etruscan city with its walls and museum, while at 21 km away you will find the Theatre of Silence (a natural amphitheater carved into the beautiful hills of Lajatico, where every year takes place an important musical event, organized by the tenor Andrea Bocelli).
Besides, just about a 45-minute drive you will reach two other ancient medieval villages: Castagneto Carducci (which is the childhood place of the famous Italian poet Giosué Carducci) and Bolgheri.
The latter is the producing country of one of the best wines in the world, the Sassicaia. This town is, in fact, part of the Etruscan Coast Wine and Olive Oil Route, an area extending for over 150 kilometers along the Province of Livorno, including Elba Island, and consists of wine and olive oil producers.
